Who We Are

The East African Health Project (EAHP) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the health and wellness of the East African community in the United States. EAHP provides integral awareness and outreach services on health education, health promotion, disease prevention and human services to newly arrived communities from the East African Region.

What We Do

The EAHP volunteers and staff are composed of healthcare professionals and experienced workers with backgrounds in social services and advocacy with strong ties to the East African community. Our team is knowledgeable in East African culture and their social needs.  Our board and volunteers are fluent in languages in languages spoken by the East African region, such as Somali, Swahili, Amharic and Oromo.
